| That's it you've gone and done it! I am now a heap of quivering mush! I wholeheartedly agree with your other reviewers: "The Doctor smiled more brilliantly than he had in a long time, and was happy to burn whispered promises into her skin." and not to mention... "The love from the Doctor, this Doctor, was so effusive as to corrupt her previously aligned and certain thoughts about him. There were so many new things to absorb that it was as a torrent of rain upon the roof, a distracting melody of reminders that things could never be as they were". And... "It was he who pressed against her lips. The last time they had done this, she'd been the one to make that bold, first leap. It enraptured her more, propelling her arms around his neck, her lips a kindling upon his." Just beautiful poetry! Waaah! | |||

| Oh My! That was lovely and heart-breaking at the same time! **Sniff** :o( I really loved the flute scene between the Doctor and Sarah Jane. And how clever of the Doctor (and you for writing him so well) to send those little signals to Sarah Jane by lying about the compass. Sheer Brillance on your part! Seems Sarah Jane is beginning to find out how complex this Doctor can be. | |||

| This is a very interesting pairing. I really like it so far. I always thought of Seven with only Ace as his companion but this may just work. They would seem to mesh well together from what I remember of Sarah Jane. I just love their introduction scene. So sweet and so Seven! | |||

| You already know how much I love this wonderfully open-ended conclusion, but I'll say it again. I'm glad there's some hope for the both of them. And I adore the fact that he thinks of Sarah Jane as his home. So touching. This was a unique idea for a story and you pulled it off beautifully. | Aww, now that's a heart warming chapter if ever I've seen one. It just hit all of the right buttons. The whole section of about what the compass light really meant was gorgeous. Oh and the ending, that was so touching. I wish it were true. Words cannot describe how much I have adored this. It's completely different and wonderful, and I've enjoyed every minute of it. Author's Response: Thank you so much. It's funny how the compass sort of became what it ultimately is, I had no intention of it originally meaning what it did, but as I wrote this chapter, it seemed to fit perfectly. | That gave me goosebumps!! Beautiful! There's no other word that even comes close. This line in particular sent a warm tingly feeling down my spine - The Doctor smiled more brilliantly than he had in a long time, and was happy to burn whispered promises into her skin. I'm glad you enjoyed that passage, I was a bit uncertain about the phrasing myself, but that proves sometimes the disconnect between what I think, and what others perceive. One more chapter! | That was a wonderful pick-me-up at the end of a highly crappy day, and I thank you doubly for it. Trelan needs to be shoved head-first into a weather balloon and released over New Mexico. And that last line... well, there were a number of heart-rending lines in this chapter, too many to go into here, but the last line was so... He's needy, sometimes, isn't he, when his friends are in danger... Anyway, great job! More? Author's Response: I'm sorry to hear about the crappy day, but glad I could provide a little enjoyment. Yes, he does need to be done in, doesn't he? Not sure quite what I'll do with him yet. But rest assured the Doctor's even more angry with him, rightfully so, because he's such a protective little lamb. And he does get needy doesn't? Even a bit clingy sometimes, too. | Oh, hell. You really know how to tug on the old heart-strings, not to mention the tear ducts *reaches for tissues*. That was the most beautiful chapter and the most evil! I swear when Sarah got hit, my heart skipped a beat. I'm very, very glad you didn't leave it there, that would have been too cruel. Oh and the end, gorgeous! See, I'm running out of words here. You know how I said I was falling?? Well, I think I just hit the ground!! Wonderful, wonderful story, can't wait for more! Author's Response: I am good at that, aren't I? Terrible, really. | Oh, if I could Squee I would. But I can't and not only because it's 3am, so I'll have to settle for this. That was brilliant! The epitome of in fact. It's all so mysterious. Oh and the compass, knew it was only a matter of time before that popped up. It's just such a great idea and you know what? You're making me fall in love with these two all over again, I'm going to have to dig all my videos and dvds out later. Can't wait for the next part.
