Oooh, fics that hurt in the best way possible. That was amazing, dahling. Practically seamless merging with canon, so I really must applaud you. I too noticed his emo-ness at the beginning of that episode, so when an author takes that idea and runs with it to create something this brilliant...I just have to
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad it wasn't hurt-bad, but hurt-good. :) Thanks for reading. |

I just wanted to tell you that I really enjoyed reading your version of things. =) Also, this is the first fic I've read that actually made me cry. I love your style of writing, and I hope to read more of your work. =D
Author's Response: Thank you so much for reading. |

Whoohoo! I am REALLY starting to like your writing. I'm so glad I happened upon it. ^_~ Reunion! YES!!...and Martha will be fine too I hope. *sheepish look*
Author's Response: Oh, I'm glad you happened upon it, too. :) Thanks for the review! |

That was very heartbreaking but I enjoyed it anyways. It totally broke my heart when he goes off for those two days at the end. You can just imagine how much pain he's in. Oh I need to find a happier fandom, this Rose/Ten thing is just killing me haha.
Author's Response: Yeah, Ten/Rose is a tough road to walk. :) |

This is the saddest thing I have ever read. Well, not really, but I am tearing up here, and am as desolate as I was at the end of Doomsday. I keep thinking that Rose will be back, that there are hints of it, and as long as the Doctor keeps making her an exception, keeps mentioning her, that he's still thinking about her. Oh, if only Rose were back!
And, I like Martha, too--I really do, but it's hard to be friendly towards her character when the stark contrast is there. The Doctor doesn't betray her memory [read: We were together] by swanning off with Martha at all... I guess what this does is make the Doctor that much more tragic, especially in the shadow of Family of Blood -- a domesticated Doctor longing for that one adventure he'll never have. Oh, this was a good story, and I wish I never read it! Nothing against you, yet it was so tragic. I can see the Doctor (post your fic) leaving Martha and taking another companion simply because she reminded him of those two or three glorious days... Bravo!
Author's Response: Thank you for your review. I completely understand everything you've said. I knew it wouldn't be easy to read for everyone...it wasn't easy for me to write! I do appreciate you taking the time to read and respond with your thoughts. (Poor, poor Ten. ::pats him::) |

Were you by any chance a Buffy/Angel shipper, or a fan of either of those shows? I was, and this story really reminded me of an episode of Angel(the series) called 'I Will Remember You', where Angel is in basically the same situation as the Doctor. I'm not in anyway saying that you ripped off IWRY, because I don't think you did, I just noticed some strong echoes between that episode and your story and wondered if it might have been one of your influences.
That said, I love your story as much as I loved IWRY, even though both broke my little shipper heart for exactly the same reason. "The ecstasy of grief" and all. Also, that the Doctor really didn't have a choice at all. He's the Doctor. If he'd really had to choose between the two actions, he wouldn't be the Doctor. Does that make any sense? Really, really wonderful job.
Author's Response: You make the third person to mention that episode of Angel, and now I think I really have to track it down and watch it! I was a Buffy fan, but not much of an Angel fan--I quit watching Angel's spinoff about three episodes in because (unlike just about every other Buffy fan, I know) I really just didn't like Angel. However, if I have to share a plot detail with someone, I'm glad it's Joss. :)
Thank you so much for your kind words about the story, and I'm so appreciative that you took the time to read and review. (And now I have to find that Angel episode!) |

| *sniff* I wish they could have stayed together. I still think Rose should have told the Doctor that she would have went with him if he found another way. I see why you wrote it this way even if I am a bit sad that they didn't get to stay together. It would have been nice if Rose would have remembered but I suppose. I still have hopes Rose will at least make another appearance in the show. thx for posting. |

Like others have said, you broke my heart with that ending, but hey, life's not all happy endings? It was a nice change to read a well-written reunion fic that wasn't ALL fluff and smut. ;) So, yes, the ending was sad, but you worte it well. And I think that it's "good" that Rose can't remember, because I think it might ruin the solidarity of the past few years in the alt-world.
Great job! :D I look forward to more from you! :)
Author's Response: Thank you so much for taking the time to read, and to share your thoughts. I am very, very glad that you enjoyed it. Life really isn't all happy endings, and I guess that's just sort of what I wanted to explore here with this story.
Thanks again for reading and reviewing! |

The ending for me was a bit of a disappointment and definantly heartbreaking because of the way they were ripped apart yet again when they'd come so close to being together. That's not to say im criticising how you constructed and played out the ending, because im definantly not, it was a truly brilliant ending, just not the way i would have preferred it to end.
I suppose like many other writers on here i still cannot move on and accept the fact that Rose Tyler is gone forever and will not return someday, i mean its not everyday the Doctor falls in love and really Rose was no everyday girl, she was willing to give up everything and including her life to save the man she loved.
Anyway, sorry about the babbling, it was a brilliant fic and i hope to see more material from you on here soon! =)
Author's Response: No, don't worry about babbling! I'm really glad that you took the time to share your thoughts, and especially that you took the time to read the story at all. Thank you for reading and reviewing. |

That was really good. I think that Rose would have stayed with the Doctor no matter what, also I think that you should have let her remember the time she spent with the Doctor.
Anyway, you're a really good writer and I have to say that I wasn't suspecting that ending... Please can you write another story soon???
Author's Response: Thank you so much for taking the time to read and review. I really appreciate your comments. I'm sure I'll write more DW fic in the future. |
